Many of you will remember Mike Stevens, harmonica player extraordinaire, who has graced festivals stages up here with his amazing performances.
Mike is the founder of ArtsCan Circle which "links creative artists with Native youth at risk to build skills and self-esteem through art and music".
ArtsCan Circle sends small teams of musical and visual artists to remote Canadian communities to work with Native children and youth at risk.
You can find out much more about them at their website.

Musical & Life Partners Carol Teal & David Joyce
(http://www.carolanddavid.ca/) will be in the Yukon in late May. Music Yukon is proud to present them as an exciting kick off to a summer of music. Opening for them will be well known Yukoners Kevin Barr and Steve Slade.

Carol is the executive director of ArtsCan Circle. She is a speech pathologist by profession who is also a well known folk musician in "middle Canada". She will be in the Yukon attending the CASLPA Conference here in Whitehorse from May 19th - 22nd (http://www.caslpa.ca/english/events/conference.asp )

Her husband David (http://www.davidkjoyceminerals.com/ ) is a mineral collector and dealer, explosives and blasting consultant who - when he found out where Carol's conference was -- couldn't resist a trip to the Yukon! David is also a well known folk musician in "middle Canada" and current president of the Newmarket Folk Society. ( www.newmarketfolksociety.org )

We hope you'll come on down to Kevin's house (Eagles Landing B&B) on Sunday afternoon and take in what will be a great afternoon of music. You'll be helping to support a great cause.

We are suggesting a ticket donation price of $15. If it's a great day, we're outside using the stage on the lake. If it's inclement, we'll move into the big log house.

AND JUST A REMINDER: On Tuesday, May 25th Music Yukon is proud to present another great season of Arts in the Park --- Number 14!!
Stay tuned for the line-up. We're almost ready to announce...
